Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plates have been delighting collectors for more than a century. The beginnings of this happy tradition are lost in the mists of Danish antiquity but the custom of giving Christmas plates seems to have originated in early feudal times when the lord of the manor presented plates filled with goodies to his serfs. Today, of course, Royal Copenhagen Christmas Plates are welcome gifts at any time of the year with many collectors striving to acquire complete sets. Measures approximately 7-1/8" diameter.
