1919 Gillete Empire ABC Pocket Edition Set Gold-Plated Vintage Safety Razor:

1919 ABC Gillette Empire Pocket Edition. Case still has most of its gold, and the top is especially nice. The latch is solid, and hinges are good. I haven\'t touched the fabric lining beyond lifting the trays out when sanitizing and cleaning the case, as they are very fragile.
Razor is a 1919 Old Type with the serial number K380213. Teeth are all straight, and threads are good. Handle has the ever-present hairline crack on the top but is structurally sound. The top cap has its finish worn, but not gone. The baseplate and handle have nice gold still.
The blade bank is the red-headed step-child of the set. It has no gold left on it and has some spots, but it is still functional.
The whole set has been boiled in hot water to sanitize everything, and then scrubbed with a soft bristle toothbrush with dish soap, Nothing more harsh than dawn was used, as the gold finish is thin and fragile on these.
