Here is a very nice stag handle knife with leather custom sheath. I believe this is a 1930s knife that was custom made in Germany in the "Hochland" Gau when it was under the direction of the SD. When Hitler took power and the SD was basically extinguished, the GAU districts where renamed. The "Hochland" district was located in Bavaria by the Swiss border. The district made many items pertaining to Mountain troops, so I'm guessing the Bavarian Alps. The leather sheath is very nice, and is very detailed. I could not see any markings on the sheath either, which leads me to believe it was custom made private purchase piece. The SIZE of the knife is why I put "boot ?" in the title. This is a very good size for a boot knife. Please see pics and judge for yourself.
