1933 CENTURY OF PROGRESS RARE CENTURY SET OF WAFFLET MOLDS SET W STAR ARCTURUS IRON

This 1933 Century of Progress Wafflet Molds Set was part of our huge Worlds Fair and Exposition Collection. We mostly collected 1933/34 and 1939/40 items but also have many pieces from much earlier to much later Fairs. We offered the entire collection as a buy it now on with no takers and have since been selling it piece by piece. My husband, seller named Jal12147 and I will be listing pieces till it’s all sold.

This is a very rare pizelle cookie set made by US Utilities especially to be sold at the 1933-34 Chicago World’s Fair featuring the Star Arcturus Century of Progress logo as an iron in the set. The other iron is the familiar star pattern everyone knows. It includes a metal backing plate for the star iron so you can make patty shells as well as lacy cookies. This set will let you make copies of the Century of Progress Star Arcturus logo in batter. Also included are two 10” handles that screw to the irons that let you hold them in the hot oil to cook the batter. Also included is the box and a very tattered copy of the Worlds Fair special recipe. As you can see, the box still has all its sides, but is missing the ends. It’s basically somewhat beaten up. The items included in the box, irons and handles are in excellent condition. If they were used, they were cleaned very well.
