Printed on glossy paper, it is in excellent and attractive condition, with a bit of light smudging, and two old fold lines, as originally issued.(These Illustrated Current News posters were published 3 times a week. They were folded into quarters when they were mailed to subscribers, which were typically stores or newsstands which displayed them for viewing by customers.)The poster presents three grainy photos which were radioed to America, showing the abdication of King Edward, and his replacement on the British throne by King George VI. This was the climactic ending to a dramatic story which riveted global attention and was an episode combining both scandal and a historic love story (the King who surrendered his crown for romance); with Edward stepping down from his royal position on Dec. 11th in order to marry a divorced society figure from the United States, Mrs. Wallis Simpson.The poster\'s headline and captions explain:RADIO PHOTOS FROM LONDON1.
