This week I\'m offering a number of old non-sport cards from various vintage sets. In 1937, Gum Inc. issued one of the first non-sport gumcard sets, \"Wild West,\" which may have been designed to compete with Goudey\'s Indian Gum Set. This gimmick with this set was that it had lines printed on the back so that kids could cut the card up and turn it into a jigsaw puzzle. Yeah, I don\'t get it either. The first series of 24 cards had a red panel on the bottom identifying the cards as Picture Puzzle Gum. #25 is a rare premium redemption card. The second series, numbered #25 to 49, came in two versions, with a blue panel at the bottom, and a yellow panel. The blue panel cards had the puzzle lines on the back and the yellow panel cards didn\'t. Still, the cards are nice, showing scenes of the old west in vivid colors. The cards remain very popular weith collectors.This is a lot of five cards (three different) in generally poor condition (see scans for condition). All in all, pretty decent for cards that are over eighty years old.
