Pin Up art was a very American art form and had its peak during the late 1930s- until the 1950s. Magazine covers, calendars, posters, advertising, pictures and even pilots even painted pin up girls on their airplanes. Many of the pin ups had a sexy woman and campy sexual innuendo sayings that went along with it. The sexual revolution of the 1960s made many of these prints inappropriate during this time. The art of Pin ups have become appreciated again and are very collectable.
Check out this awesome pin up calendar from 1948. 12 months each with a different pin up image. Images drawn by famous pin up artist MacPherson. Has 12 pages one for each month. January has a tear in side and bottom right corner, all other pages in great condition with no damage. Measures 10 x 13 inches.
