1950s Imperial Paint Sprayer on an Atlas shouldered Mason Jar with Glass Lid and original hose

I acquired this vintage paint sprayer, along with two others, at a downsizing sale on a farm in rural Northeast, Iowa. They were all pretty dirty, so I gave this one a good wash. It has been heavily used over the years, and you can see that in the detailed photos.

In my internet research I discovered paint sprayers were invented in the late 1800s. In the 1940s, siphon method sprayers like this one became popular. In the early 1950s, the hoses like this one were invented.

I don't know the exact year this one was made, but based on the exact mason jar it's been attached to for decades, and the hose attached, it had to be mid 1950s.

The owner of these three vintage paint sprayers used these items through the years, and obviously cared for them and kept them in a special place. I'm hoping that a collector will find this one and give it a great home!
