Up for sale are a set of custom (one-of-a-kind) buttons of the Fantastic Four that were created at a Massachusetts Comic Con, circa 1974-1975. These are signed with the initials \"J. S.\" and has been confirmed by a comic expert to be John Sinnott\'s design. I bought this in a set and kept the ones I wanted, but upon closer inspection I noticed something quite unique. This was not your standard \"printed\" images, like four color, but looks like they are actually hand-colored. I looked under a microscope and could see raised colors: Not sure entirely if it is hand-colored so keep that in mind. It could be an image from a print that was cut-out and then colored. The previous owner was an artist who did work for conventions\'programs in the Massachusetts area. They were made with the Badge In A Minut machine that was created in 1972. The \"Make Your Own Button\" was a craze of the 1970\'s and one can always tell when one of these come up from the company\'s copyright/trademark on the back. You can also tell if an amateur or professional created them too due to the quality. Not many collectors are aware of their existence and origins. It is 2.25 inches in diameter and in Fine+ condition.I have other Super Heroes so check out my listings.
