Two letters from winemaker Alphonse Pellevoisin to artist William Parsons Winchester Dana, dated 1883, requesting a work on commission. Both in French. Dana is never mentioned in the letters, which are addressed to \"Monseiur\", but the first letter mentions Pellevoisin seeing the painting \"Bateaus Hollandais\" at a show the previous year, and research reveals that Dana had a painting by that title in the Paris Art Exhibition in 1882. A third letter was written by a J.L. Whittle, also inquiring about purchasing a painting from Dana. This one includes Dana\'s name.I guarantee the authenticity of these autographs.
