47 Famous People Mixture Greetings Antique Postcards. Artists, Writers, Celebs

This is a nice selection of GREETINGS postcards sent for BEST WISHES and FRIENDSHIP. The postcards are ANTIQUE from the early 1900s and with some being more VINTAGE. These are drawings and photos of artists, musicians, radio and stage celebrities, etc. Some of these include Will Rogers, Thomas Lynch (signer of the Declaration of Independence), Maria Poe Clemm (aunt and mother-in-law of Edgar Allan Poe), TomBreneman, Sir Walter Scott, etc. They are good postcards to look through and enjoy. Most of these postcards are flat printed.

These are good postcards to add to a collection because of their attractive nature. They wouldappeal to collectors because of their nice designs, how they capture the artistic style used back in the early 1900s, and how they show a glimpse of life back then. They have good detail, and are pleasing to look at. They are from different publishers. Overall, a niceselection of Greetings postcards.

The postcards are UNPOSTED (40) and POSTED (7). Some of the postcards would have been \"Printed in Germany\" during the \"Golden Age of Postcards\" (1908-1915 era). They have DIVIDED as well as UNDIVIDED (4) backs.

Postcards with UNDIVIDED BACKS were used from 1901-1907.An undivided back is a good indicator of the age of the postcard and its historical significance.During this time period, ONLY THE ADDRESS could be put on the back, and any written message had to be done on the front of the postcard. These types of postcards are collector items because of their age, and because of the limited number of such postcards in existence today. Also, collectors like to own postcards that were published in the beginning years of the postcard hobby.

These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are in good condition.

Regarding condition, please note that we try to remove damaged postcards from our lots, and only sell those postcards that are worth having in a collection. However, because of their age (over 100 years old!), please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning, and edge wear on the postcards. We do not want you to be disappointed. Look closely at the photos we provide to see all of the postcards and an example of the backs.

The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use Standard Envelopemail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS Ground Advantage when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.Wecombine shippingwhenever possible. If you purchase multiple lots, you can wait and we will send you an invoice for the combined shipping before you pay. In case you have already paid for the lots, we will still combine the shipment and refund you any extra shipping charges back to your account.
