These 4x5\" medium format & highly detailed images were taken by Ralph Foster of Foster Air Photo back in 1968. Ralph Foster mapped much of Southern California from the air from the 1950s on into the 1990s.Ralph Foster was obviously flying over Culver City this day to capture images of a Go-Kart track. I haven\'t been able to pin down the tracks name - but I did find that Culver City has a long & rich racing history. Ralph Foster was a champion midget car racer going back to the 1930s and 40s prior to his service in WWII. His fascination with all things race-related remained for the rest of his days. Some of the images in the gallery are full frame...a few are close-ups from within a particular negative.Negatives Measure 4 x 5 Inches.
