9.75" STORYTELLER MOTHER with 5 Children Figurine Native American:
$50.00

This sweet resin storyteller is small yet packed with detail, with three children atop her head, many more in her arms, and several in her lap. There is even one crawling at her feet. The storyteller form first appeared in Native American pottery at Cochiti Pueblo, New Mexico, in 1963, and represents the oral tradition of Indian culture. This is a resin form of what normally is found in pottery. These resin figurines were especially popular in the 1980s and could be found in gift shops in places like the Santa Fe Plaza and the Old Town Plaza in Albuquerque. Wonderful gift for the mother or grandmother person who passes on traditions and stories to the family as a way of preserving the family's culture.

***Has a few scuff marks on top of feet

(see photos) other then that it is in great condition.
