This appears to be is a very early 1800’s hand painted oil on canvas of a Royal official,or officer.I am not exactly sure of the country this originated from.It truly appears European,Scottish,etc..Please take note of his jewelry and medals they are quite regal and very much of the period in which this painting was done.This is all original.I believe there is a signature under the frame,but I have not taken it apart to verify this.As you can clearly see there has been a professional repair to the back which was done a very long time ago,showing no issues in the front.This has never been out of the original frame.This is the original gilt frame.As you can clearly see there is slight wear to the frame,very slight chips on the gilt frame.This can easily be repaired.I am selling this as is.The measurements are 35”across,40 1/4”from top to bottom ,and the frame is 2 3/4”thick.This can be sent anywhere in the world.If you choose you can to pick this up in the state of Kentucky at the 42104 zip code only.this can be arranged.Again local pickup is available.All the shipping fees will be the responsibility of the buyer.This was purchased many,many years ago at a European sale house,as the sticker is see in the picture.This is quite magnificent.I have had this in my home for to many years to recall.Everything is original and I have kept this exactly as I purchased it.The gilt frame is the same as purchased.I have done no restorations.I loved it exactly as is was when I purchased it.I am not sure of the exact date or who the Royal officer or official was.The colors are still quite vivid.Again I am selling this as is.This was purchased and was shipped from the UK..Again I will ship anywhere all over the world,but the shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer.All original and very good,slightest signs commensurate from age and wear.I accept no returns.Please ask if you have any questions.
