Description Offered for Sale is this Antique 1/9th plate Ambrotype / Tintype of a Young Man in a Leather Case. The images are under glass therefore I'm unsure if it's an Ambrotype or Tintype. The cheeks appear to be hand colored. The Oval Shaped mat would suggest this image was from the 1840's to 1860's. This Early Photo would be a Great Addition to any Antique Photograph Collection.

Note: I am not an expert when it comes to photographic images. I have done my best to describe what I see when viewing the image. Please view all the pictures to confirm my description of the photos and cases are accurate. Please contact me if you have additional questions.

Photo Size Approximation: - 2" x 2 1/2"

Condition: - Fair Used Condition - The photo has several imperfections visible in the pictures. The Leather case (front) is starting to separate from the binding. It's still intact but fragile (see the first 2 pictures where the cover meets the half holding the photo - center left in first photo). Please see the pictures to view the condition of the item for yourself.
