This lovely antique miniature porcelain plaque is painted in amazing detail with the portrait of a very handsome young boy in a court scene. He is dressed in Shakespeare era style clothing. No artist signature, however the quality is so fabulous, we feel it could be by Wagner or another great KPM artist painter.
This is attributed to the Berlin KPM factory during the mid to late 19th Century.
The back of the plaque is impressed \"L 8\" or \"18\" . The child is wearing a white shirt and brown jacket, along with a velvet hat with blue feathers. The detail to the face, hair and hat is beautiful. The colors to the face are very soft and incredibly life like. You know it was done by an accomplished painter!
Plaque measures approximately 20mm high by 17 mm wide. Would make a beautiful ring!
Condition to the plaque is excellent except for some scratches to the hair. On the back, there is a flake by the rim. Not seen when you look at the front and will be covered up when set!
