Maker and age: This superb porcelain mustard pot with its attached under plate hasthe green wreath mark of the renowned Japanese maker Noritake, successor to the equally renowned firm Morimura Nippon.The mark includes the phrase \"Noritake Hand Painted Made in Japan\" and includes the letter M for the Morimura Brothers, who founded the company. It came into use in 1918. Source: Noritake Collectors Guild.
Design: Noritake is justifiably famous for its high quality and this mustard pot is no exception. It features a beautifully painted classic waterside scene with a white bird in flight.
An unmarked mustard spoon is included. It may or may not be original to the mustard pot.
Size: The pot is about 4 inches wide and 1 5/8 inches tall.
Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains, discoloration, repairs, crazing or wear. The spoon is also in excellent condition.
