ITEM DESCRIPTION Extremely rare, antique and exceptional inkstand or double inkwell with mythical scene depictinga boy holding a fish and riding on a huge fish. Incredibly detailed and superlative quality with footed legs and lion head. Probably an allegory of Neptune. With two crystal faceted inkwells with ornate lids. Footed claws. Fantastic and fabulous subject. Really exquisite and sublime gilded bronze inkstand in original antique condition with slight signals of use consistent with age.
