- Brown vulcanite oxidation removed (if vulcanite)

- Polished & carnauba waxed

- Tenon / Mortise fits corrected and beeswaxed

- Airways / funnel reamed and cleaned

- Stem slot funnel (v-cut) improved or added (for optimal smoke dispersion)

- Significant teeth marks / impressions removed / rebuilt

- Bowl pits may be filled with food grade gypsum (plaster of paris) the kind used with corn cob pipes (gypsum can be easily removed and identified due to its bright white color in the case a buyer wants to inspect the depth of a pit.

Produced by the Tanganyika Meerschaum Company, these African block meers are no longer mined or produced. The natural striations of the meerschaum appear almost like the grain of olivewood on this pipe, quite unique. The Tanganyika stamp is still visible on the underside of the stem, and the impression of the elephant logo is faintly visible on the side. The chamber is in great condition and has very minimal meer erosion. There is a thin crack visible on the rear wall of the bowl. The exterior only has been carefully filled with clear CA glue, to ensure future life without worry of the glue making contact with the flame.
