this older clock appears to be in good cosmetic condition for it\'s age, all glasses no scratches or chips, white face has some small hairlines(see last picture) and one screw missing on the bottom. the clock is running, striking properly(striking once on the half hour and counting the hour)and keeping reasonably good time. fully winding runs 9 days then stops. it comes with original key. clock weight about 6.10lb.
This is small French \"Crystal Regulator\". The 8-day rack & snail time and strike movement was made by Japy Freres et Cie, probably late 1800\'s - early 1900\'s. The movement has a non-jewel Brocot escapement between the thick brass plates. The clock is 5.5 inches wide and 9 inches tall with bevel glass side and door panels. The clock retains to be the original mercury jar pendulum with two sealed glass vials of real mercury.Please check out the series of photo for detail cosmetics condition! you will be getting exactly what you see in those photos.
