This is a wonderful original. This is one of the cooler photo albums I have acquired recently. This comes out of a prominent Harvard family. It is the photo album of Mary T Richardson. Mary was daughter of an important professor of Surgery at Harvard. She married a prominent lawyer in Boston. Obvious a family of privilege and wealth.

This album is Mary\'s life from 1902-1905 or so. It includes many shots of her summer time life on the shores of Massachusetts including Marion, Gloucester, Swampscott, Marblehead and other towns. Wonderful images of sailing and boating and time on the beach. Photos of homes, baseball games and tennis matches and lots of antics of this socialite and her group of friends. Even some images of them spending time in Maine going skiing and ice skating.Then she goes off to BRYN MAWR COLLEGE in late 1902 and there is great images of her time there including playing field hockey and some theater performances. Buildings and her friends enjoying college life. Those photos continue through her graduation.After that, there are images of some of her travels out west including Colorado and the garden of the gods, Seattle, Mt Shasta and then north into the Asulkan Glacier and Banff.After the trips there are lots of shots of her back in her home area with games and fun being had by her and her friends. Cars, homes, farms, sports and everything else that would have been enjoyed by a prominent young woman in the early 20th Century in New England.Just a great original photo album. Album measures 10 x 7 inches and Over 350+ wonderful clear images. All glued in. Album itself shows some wear and loss but really a stunning collection. FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES!
