Beautiful torchiere signed “MSLC” (Mutual Sunset Lamp Co.), with caged glass shade and 7” round green ALABASTER stone/marble on base, c. 1930s. Swivel light 12” in all directions, has a fantastic art deco appearance. Purchased at an estate sale in upstate NEW YORK and appears to have recently been restored. Freshly painted an antique golden finish with a (replacement) caged glass shade Offers lots of upward-facing light and some diffused light into the room. The original cord looks to have been cleaned and rewired using original hardware. The 7” round alabaster base has a gorgeous translucent appearance with veins of whites browns and greens, sits on a ornate footed base and in turn rests on a 10” square base giving it the stability that mutual sunset lamp company is known for. A high quality piece back in its day and holds its reputation as a high quality rare collectible today. Perfect for anywhere extra light is needed.
