I have loved and collected vintage and antique fine and costume jewelry and assorted items for over 50 years and have decided to downsize. All of the items listed are from my own personal collection and there are no duplicates. I was born in 1941 and adopted into a loving and thankful family. The stork listed was a birth gift to my parents from lifelong friends who had a floral business. It came in a white whicker basket with flowers on a wood base with story attached! It has been stored since then! It is a large early stork candy container with glass eyes, a red wood beak and wire legs and feet. It stands about 9 1/2\" tall, legs are 4 1/2\" long from the body. There are two cardboard wings that were covered in spun cotton, much of which has been lost. One side of the stork has an opening under the wing to hide candy! (never used as such) The head, eyes, beak, legs & feet are in very nice condition. the body & wings are cardboard with small staples, also in quite nice condition. Each wing has a small hole for securing with a pin, the wings have lost their covering, partially remains. Please take a close look at the pictures! 82 1/2 years old....
