On offer is this lovely little 19th century Ansonia \"Bee \" drum clock.

I believe the following info is correct as taken from the british museums listing for an identical clock.:

\"Bee\" 30hr Timepiece movement...open spring....Pin pallet escapement.

Round paper dial with outer minute track and 5 minute markers, roman hour numerals.

Blued steel spade hour minute and hour hands.

Case;...is nickel plated brass drum case with 2 small feet and ring at top.

Bevelled glass.

Built in winding key....with hand set button in centre of key.

Ansonia factory with patent of 23 rd April 1878.

These clocks were sold in a coloured tin with photos of the ansonia Factory and have become a collectors item in their own right.....unfortunately the tin is long since gone.

The clock measures 5.5 cms across the dial and is 8.5cms tall when the carrying ring is raised.

It is 4cms deep.

Condition is fair antique condition.....still winding but is not running so I think it needs servicing/cleaning.....so I am selling as not working............the nickel plating is worn in places and the paper face is discoloured with age............not sure if the fast/slow works as i cannot see any mechanism.
