FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION A VERY FINE ANTIQUE AND RARE NORTH WEST COAST SALISH INDIAN BASKET.
ROUND SHAPE.
Dating around circa 1910. This basket came from estate sale and collected at
Thomson River area, Mount Currie Tribe, near Whistler, British Columbia.
Provenance: Private Collection for many years of Dr. MARGARETH PERKINS HESS .

The basket is bundled-coiled cedar-root, the other materials are the inner bark of the chokecherry.
Very complex design. Multipleintertwined pattern.
The basket is near 110 years of age!!!! This is museum quality basket.
