Nice Original Antique Daguerreotype Photo in Nice Gutta Percha Case, Taken c.1840-1850

DESCRIPTION: Nice early antique daguerreotype image takenduring the heydayof popular daguerreotype photography, c1840 - 1850. I apologize for the reflected light/camera in my scans, obviously not part of the actual photo itself, which is quite clear.

This dag has great mid-1800\'s New England subject matter. Hair up, a nice seated antebellum pose, and appearance. She also is wearing a fancy large collar lace.

Set in a nice1/9 plate brass mat, and in a full, complete gutta percha, hard rubber case. Nice geometric design and is in an overall excellent condition. One tiny crack by one of the hinges. NICE THAT IT IS STILL IN THE SAME CASE THAT IT HAS BEEN IN FOR 170+ YEARS!!!
