A Chelsea ship's clock with bell. The brass case measures approximately 7 1/2' across at the base. It has been polished by the previous owner but not lacquered. The dial measures approximately 6" across. The clock is running at time of listing. The bell rings but not ship's bell - it needs adjustment as it rings just two strikes (ding ding) on the hour and half hour. The clock was a family piece owned by the descendants of a shipping company owner. They ran the clock time only. Sold as is, no guarantees.
