This Asian (could be from China, Japan or Taiwan) hand puppet doll is a unique and collectible item, showcasing traditional craftsmanship in an unconventional form. This character has a large head in proportion to body. Bright color of hair denotes post war style of 1960’s possibly. A distinctive and culturally rich piece that adds charm and historical intrigue to puppetry traditions in Asian art. In good condition with wear commensurate with age.
It’s missing a foot, and the left hand is missing a piece. Please see pictures.
