Antique circa 1900 octagon schoolhouse clock. This clock was well used in a schoolhouse or office and shows the wear of use and years. Overall nice patina. I set the clock up and let it run for 3 days and it ran fine - no issue. It chimes on the hour and the clock was accurate to the minute over that time. I did not find a manufacturer's mark anywhere. There was a paper label on the inside back of the case that has deteriorated and is now unreadable. The winding key says "Ingraham & Co" but it might not be the original key. Overall, an interesting and attractive clock.
Note: I found a photo of an Ingraham clock mechanism being sold on and it is strikingly similar to the one in this clock. This makes me think that this clock was made by Ingraham. I added the photo (its the last one - kind of dark). The frame is almost identical to the one in this clock, although it came from a mantle clock and the view is from the opposite side.
