Fifty antique glass beads
Early 20th century
Shades of blue, with some purple, teal, and bronze
Nailheadshape (domed on top and flat on the bottom)
5mm (1/8\") in diameter
Standard size holes
Unused old store stock in good condition
Antiqueglass beads from the first two decades ofthe20th century,with a flat back, faceted top, a single side hole, and rich coloring. The beads can be sewn onto fabric or used in jewelry.
Our family\'s businessbought these beads in the early 1970s from a company that had purchased them from a Boston shop, Allen\'s Boston Bead Store,when it went out of business circa 1930 and had held them in storage. See the photos for the page of a 1920s Allen\'s catalog that lists these or similarbeads for sale.
At the time of this writing, we have more than one set of these beads available. The set you receive may not be the one pictured, but will be almost identical.
