Up for sale is an Antique Clay/Composition German Belsnickle Santa in a Red Suit Holding Paper Branch in his Hand Riding a Paper Mache Felt Covered Donkey w/Saddle & Harness. Santa is approx 4-1/4” Tall from Tip of his Hood to his Black Boots. The Santa has paint wear on his black painted composition boots. The Donkey is in good condition and is unmarked but is of German origin. The Felt is in Good Condition as well as His Harness and Saddle But a Piece of Yellow Strap is Missing from the top and there is wear around the collar on the rim of his body. The Santa and Donkey have with normal wear from age. The Santa has Painted face with Leather Beard & Mustache. The Donkey has amber glass or plastic eyes. The Donkey is Larger than I previously sold and is Approx 4-1/2” long to the tail.The donkey is approx 3-3/4” tall to the ear. The Santa & Donkey together are approx 5-1/4\" tall. The Donkey’s Head Nods Freely. The Santa wears a Red Felt Suit with Blue Felt Pants w/Cream Trim and He holds a Green Paper Sprig in his hand. Santa’s legs and arms are wired bend.
