This listing is for an early Derby dancer figurine.A remarkable, hard paste porcelain dancer resonates with all the charm and character that Derby porcelain has become renowned for throughout the centuries! The hand-painted details on this young lady remain vibrant and virtually unscathed by the passage of time. She is depicted with so much personality! The girl is modeled with her hands in the air, dancing to some unknown melody. The patterns on her gown are ornate, and expertly executed. This 19th Century figure will make a stunning addition to your Derby porcelain collection.
The whimsical girl stands on a stylized rocaille pedestal base with 22 karat gilt embellishments.
Good to fair condition with a restoration to the girl's leg (reattached). Sold as-is.
