Have a look at this fabulous early 1900's folk art spool hanging wall shelf. It is constructed of heavy wire strung thread spools and features two wonderful scalloped front shelves. There are at least three layers of paint on this. I see green and red under the chippy coat of white. None of these layers are recent! It has a great naturally aging patina with crackling of the white paint to reveal the other layers. It measures 22" tall x 18" wide and 9" deep. The distance between the shelves measures 7.5" and the measurement from the top shelf to the top of the spool arch is 11". This is a perfect primitive piece but would be equally as comfortable in a farmhouse or Shabby Chic setting! How would you style it? Great for holding your favorite collections! This stands alone nicely if you want to stack it on larger pieces of furniture, but is flat backed for hanging from the top looped wire. One of the best spool pieces I've found it a long time, it comes from a Lancaster County estate. It's hard to find one this nice! Ships by FedEx Ground, insured and well packed!
