Gorgeous, hand-sewn, antique embroidery sampler with the motto “God Bless Our Home” in scarlet Old English lettering on a gold background. Housed in a beautiful, solid wood (mahogany?) frame with gold accent. This sampler was made in the 1930s at the absolute latest and is likely from the Victorian period.
The frame itself is valuable; you can compare this listing to similar items on and elsewhere, and you’ll see that my price is moderate for a piece of this age and quality.
The exterior measurements of the frame are 24” x 10.5”.
The interior opening of the frame is 21.5” x 8.5”.
