An absolutely beautiful antique 19th century French cotton. Lovely vining floral with roses. A unique to find palette- Dark blue, ochre & several grays (one gray has an almost olive cast on a soft ochre/yellow ground.
From a beautiful batch of antique salvaged cotton from the Provence area if France. About quilting or blouse weight in a mid scale.
Condition is overall very nice & strong. Again, salvaged so some signs of use. One of the lengths had trim sewn towards the bottom which I removed. There will be some evidence of old threads. One more wash should relax that area. I hand washed this & it overall cleaned well albeit a few small old age marks remain. Small & really insignificant to the overall piece. One length has the majority of its original selvage, the others have raw edges.
***Measures~ 28” wide by 27” long~ I can keep up to "2” uncut, so up to 28” wide by aprox 57” long can be sent in one length.
Perfect for many unique authentic period projects, clothing elements, doll dressing etc..
