Offered is an antique German pocket knife with a single folding blade and a file. The blade measures approx. 1.5 inches long, the file measures just a hair longer. The blade is marked “Vom Cleff & Co. Germany” on one side, and Schmidt & Peters New York on the reverse. The case has nickel mounts and pins, and a polished bone facing. The case, with blades folded, measures approx. 2.25 inches long, not including the metal swivel bail. Condition is good, having light wear commensurate with age and use. There is a small chip out of the bone facing on one side of the knife. The chip is at the. mounting pin on the swivel bail, as shown. There is light tarnish/surface oxidation on the blade and file, and one side of the bone facing is darker than the other. There are faint surface lines at some of the pins.
