The set is very rare making it a bit challenging to find information on it. From what I have found, it’s thought to be over 100 years old, placing it somewhere in the 19th century. It’s completely handmade and formed making the cutest snail with the most intricate details. There appears to be a makers mark on the end of its tail but I am unable to make it out. It is either silver or silver plated. I don’t mind polishing it for you if you purchase but am keeping as is unless requested otherwise since so many prefer the aesthetic and charm of its patina, showcasing its age. The snail itself measures approximately 3.5 inches long and each pick is 2.5 inches. There’s a pin for each of the 12 holes making it complete as the day it was created. It is in excellent condition.
