You are looking at an antique 28\" rip hand saw made in the USA by Richardson Brothers of Newark, N,J. This piece is marked on the face of the blade with a big Richardson logo stating the number and the maker. The blade o this saw is nice and straight and features a straight back that follows down to a slightly reduced tip and a nib, a broad tip, and 4 1/2 points per inch that are in good condition and relatively sharp. The blade is clean and has a nice patina to it. The hardwood handle on the piece has no splits or cracks. I believe it is Beech, but not sure. It does show usage and finish wear. It is held tight to the blade with four brass saw nuts,one of which holds the \"Richardson Bros.\" Medallion.
