Up for sale is, what I\'ve been told, an \"antique Spanish American war era or WW1 era wooden dummy practice artillery shell\". I can\'t find any actual artillery rounds that come close to the measurements of this, and I\'ve never seen another dummy training shell quite like this either. To me it looks more like a giant wooden 7.63x25 round for the Mauser C96. It is made out of one solid piece of wood and there is no metal in the construction. Maybe it\'s a visual training aid? Maybe it\'s trench art?

The length is 18in, the case is 3.5 at the widest, and the projectile is 2.5 at the widest.
