Great looking case made of a type of pressed rubber called Gutta Percha which was manufactured in the Civil War era. It is beatifully done with the woman on horseback. I believe the hinges are brass and the frame still fits together wonderfully after all these years.
I believe this was manufactured for two photos but I only acquired it with the one you see here on . It still has the original manufacturer's information under the glass where another photo would be.Measure approx 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 x 3/4.
This would be a great addition for a collection.
