A beautiful Victorian Walnut and Gold/Gilt picture frame with early print. Original glass & wood backing. The frame consists of two layers. The outer layer constructed of solid grooved walnut with black ebonized painted borders. The inner frame is gold gilt stenciled. Frame is wired to hang horizontally but can easily be re-wired to hang vertically. Perfect to hang antique paintings, prints, photographs, samplers, tapestries, mirrors, and much more. Great original antique condition! Wear/scratches to frame due to age. Some cracks, spotting & chips to the frame. Early print not removed for further inspection. Appears in fair condition. Please review all images as they are part of the condition report. Magnificent frame for any antique or modern image that needs to be displayed with a proper, time period correct early American wood frame.
