Rare green, orange and gold empty Lucky Strike pocket tobacco short tin which, in the first half of the 20th century, was one of the most popular cigarettes brands in the USA. Produced by the R.A. Patterson Tobacco Company shortly after JB Duke\'s American Tobacco Company monopoly was broken up in 1911, this early piece is hard-to-find and quite collectible.

Measuring 3 1/8\"(h) x 2 3/8\"(w) x 3/4\"(d) and weighing 1.1 oz, this tin has a large portion of its tax stamp still in place. Its lid opens and closes smoothly on an intact hinge and snaps snugly when shut. This particular piece was produced at Factory No. 42 in the 2nd District of Virginia.

Fading, stains, scratches, surface rust and paint loss are to be expected in an original piece this old, and endow it with a rustic, weathered, working-man\'s charm.
