Antique c1930’s British Bentima & Perivale WestminsterChiming Mantel Clock.
This is an antique c1930's British "Bentima" cased Westminster chiming mantel clock with a "Perivale" mechanism. This is in full working order. It has a beautiful domed oak body with a decorative carving below the face. The are 2 stress lines to the veneer at the top rear. The oak has a medium brown coloured finish with a darker visible grain and a soft subtle shine. The face is circular in shape with a speckled cream coloured metal chapter ring, silver coloured numerals and gold coloured hands. To the right of the number three is the chime/silence selector lever (fully functional). The face is protected by a circular convex glass door with a brass bezel. approximately half the glass is cloudy.To the rear is the door to the mechanism chamber. The door is intact and is in excellent condition. This chimes at quarter past the hour, half past thehour, quarter to the hour and on the hour. On the hour it also chimes thenumber of hours.
