Authentic WW2, K 98 German Bayonet, Matching Numbers:

Matching numbers on both sides of bayonet and sheath. This item is in working condition. The spring loaded clamping device works well, like the day it was made, it's tight. The blade is sharp and has a few small dings in the edge ( see pictures ) its like it was used in combat. These dings are what would happen if the edge were struck by other blades or rifles ect. The sheath has a few small dings, scrapes, and the sheath has a pretty good sized dent about the size of a quarter that does not affect the performance at all. The blade slides in and out flawlessly. The sheath may at some point have been painted black ( not by me ). I just cant tell if the black finish is original or not ? It may be ? I'm not a bayonet expert by any means.
