A Circa 1910, Post-Victorian, Edward VII, Royal Navy 1827 pattern officer\'s sword and scabbard by Gieves. Etched blade with Victorian crown over a fouled anchor and a six-pointed star inscribed \"Proved\" on one side, and a Victorian crown over a fouled anchor and faint \"ER\", and inscribed \"Gieves\" on the other side. Lion head pommel with gilt hilt with King\'s crown over a fouled anchor. Wire-bound white sharkskin grip. Ornate sword knot. Fold-over clasp. In it\'s gilt brass-mounted leather scabbard with two rings. The hilt locks to the scabbard. Blade length 31.25\", overall length 36.55 in, scabbard length 31.75 in.
