This beautiful piece of workmanship, is entirely decorated in a style of drawn thread embroidery inspired by the delicate sunburst patterns of Teneriffe lace. Such an immense amount of this finely worked needle lace is so amazing and truly rare!.
It has so many needle woven fans, crosses, sunbursts and wheels magnificently executed. All these are hand woven with needle and thread.
Look closely and you can see the remaining fine linen within the tiny designs!Loomed of a very fine linen. Very nice vintage condition-there are no holes, there are age related spots and soiling. I have not laundered this lovely cloth.
