The Wish Horse Vintage Stablemates: The G1 Stablemates were first releasedin 1975. I was raising a family andworking at that time and did not collect them when new. When I began collecting again in the 1990s Ipurchased stablemates on the secondary market and do not have originalpackaging and may have flaws that I will try to document. Most have been in mynon-smoking home since the 2000s. I havetried to provide copies of the documentation that I used to identify them but Iam not an expert.

These models were released in the 1975 – 1976 as a seton a hang-card (packaging not included).

The listing includes a color copy of thepages showing the early release of these models from Browell and B&W informationabout the mold marks from the Young book.

·Lying Foal in light sandy brown with black mane andtail and no white makings. The lyingfoal mold did not have a mold mark on their first release it was added later in1975. This one does not have the moldmark so was an early production.

·Standing Foal is light brown with black mane andtail. She has four stockings and greyhooves

Condition: The standing foal, as typical of stablemates of thisage, the color blends with the white in the stockings. She stands well, but her rear left hoof isnot touching the surface.

On the lyingfoal the area around the eyes and muzzle are dark (grey / black). It has a pinpoint rub on the left ear tip.

I would say the condition is great condition for almostfifty year old models.
