Rewards of Merits given by teachers to their pupils back in the mid 1800s.Up for saleis a wonderful hand colored Reward of Merit from the first half of the 19th century. Most likely out of New England. An uncut sheet with 4 Rewards of Merit. Very hard to find as an uncut sheet. In quite nice condition with only edge wear and little aging or soiling but no significant condition issues, no tears, no stains, back clean without markings. Beautiful illustrations.Measures 5\" x 12 3/4\". Very impressive and scarce. Excellent condition, very well cared for over the years. Will ship in hard archival plastic sleeve for ongoing preservation.
