1900 Henry Disston & Son London 12 Spring. 6 PPI Rip Saw, the plate is 28\" long 7 5/8\" at the heel 2 5/8\" at the toe. this saw hasn\'t seen manysharpenings . i have been in and around the building trades my entire life, held a Building Contractors Licensefor 47 years, since then i have been retired . sharpened thousands of handsaws during during my life time and still doing so. in my opinion these older London 12 springs are the best user saws ever made.I have jointed, sharpened this saw on a FoleyBelsaw saw filer, with a crown. Filed Rip 8 Deg. Rake 8 Deg.Bevel. very little set to the teeth. clean, smooth straight plate, some discoloration from rust , some lite pitting. factory PPI stamp at the heel. etch is mostly gone, see photos. sweetcutting Ripsaw. you won\'t be disappointed . crispedges on a very nice Apple handle. no cracks, repairs or tattoos. I have refinished the Handle, applied a coat of BLO and a coat of wax.Thank you for taking look.
