Up for sale is a authentic FREE FRANK SIGNATURE on an envelope of U.S. Senator Charles Sumner ( January 6, 1811. - March 11, 1874 ) who was an American politician and United Senator from Massachusetts. As an academic lawyer and a powerful orator, Sumner was the leader of the anti-slavery ( abolition ) forces in the state and a leader of the Radical Republicans in the U. S. Senate during the American Civil War.

Senator Charles Sumner ‘s Free frank signature in ink is in very good condition. The envelope measures 4.5” x 2.75” inches with age related wear.
